In a highly anticipated third showdown, Lyra Valkyria and Becky Lynch faced off on WWE Raw this week. The tension between them escalated quickly, leading to a physical altercation where Valkyria gained the upper hand.
The June 2, 2025, episode of WWE Raw was held at the BOK Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma. During a backstage segment, Becky Lynch claimed she was the best thing to happen to Valkyria's career. In response, Valkyria took to the ring with a microphone to address Lynch's assertion.
As they prepare for their upcoming match at Money in the Bank, where the Women’s Intercontinental Title is at stake, Valkyria seized the opportunity to hype up her title defense during the second hour of WWE Raw. She also responded to Lynch's earlier comments and invited her to join her in the ring.
Valkyria's Bold Challenge to Lynch
When Becky Lynch entered the ring, Valkyria interrupted her before she could speak. The champion remarked that Lynch's downfall was imminent, acknowledging that Lynch had caused her significant pain but also 'unlocked a side of me that is capable of beating you.' Valkyria is determined to secure a third victory over Lynch at Money in the Bank and was eager to showcase her skills to the audience on WWE Raw.
Lynch quickly retorted, suggesting that her intention was to improve Valkyria, but she warned that Valkyria would be raising her hand in defeat at Money in the Bank after losing the IC title. Lynch refused to engage in a fight in Tulsa and attempted to leave, but Valkyria pursued her up the ramp, leading to a brawl that required WWE Raw officials to intervene.
Valkyria previously defeated Lynch in their first singles match at Halloween Havoc 2023, successfully defending her NXT Women’s Championship. She also retained her Intercontinental Title against Lynch earlier this month at Backlash. The two have now agreed to face off again at the Money in the Bank 2025 Premium Live Event scheduled for this Saturday night.
